whistle2 Welcome to Voter Coach, a new weekly feature during football season.  At Pollspeak, we have historically pointed out concerns with polls and ballots after the fact.  The goal of Voter Coach is to try to help voters before they turn in their ballots.

We’ll post a new Voter Coach each Saturday evening, ideally after all the biggest games are played, but before the ballots need to be turned in.  Voter Coach will point out some significant events of the current, past and upcoming weeks that voters should take into consideration when filling out their ballots.  We’ll keep them quick in order to make the ballot deadlines.  In some cases we may update Voter Coach throughout the day as games are completed.  We’ll also do our best to TWEET the points that can fit nicely into 140 characters.  So voters, check here before you turn in your ballots each week.

We have a new look and some great new features:

  • Follow your Team! You can now find all poll information about your favorite team in one, consistent place.  Pick your favorite team from the list on the homepage, or you can always jump to a team page using the “TEAMS” dropdown menu anywhere on Pollspeak.  Find our team page and bookmark it now!
  • A fully functional search engine. So if you want to see how many times Doug Lemerises has been mentioned, now you can.  Use the search field in the upper right.
  • Comments and Forums. You can now leave comments on individual articles or talk at greater length on the FORUM.  Login is required for both.
  • Pollstalker now tracks more. Pollstalker now tracks points given by human and computer polls as well as how many No. 1 votes each team gets.  Click here for an example:  Preseason AP Poll.
