POLLSPEAKPollspeak is a watchdog organization dedicated to keeping college sports polls (and computer-rankings) honest, or at least questioning those that seem to be flawed, uneducated or have an unreasonable bias. Why? Because polls affect teams' TV exposure, finances, recruiting and national championship hopes. Voters and pollsters should be held accountable.

| Name | Good Votes | Bad Votes | Net Bad Votes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bob Sutton | 1 | 41 | 40 |
Once again, Pollspeak
disagrees with the People's Pick. Sutton only had two extreme votes on
his week 14 ballot: he was one of four to leave Texas A&M
unranked, but more importantly, he ranked Xavier lowest at #23.
Xavier fans continue to show their willingness to vote. Until other fans
follow suit, people should take the People's Pick with a pillar of salt.

Good Voter of Week 14 --

Willhite is actually a good choice for Good Voter of the Week...and he was
picked by the people. He only had one extreme vote on
his week 14 ballot. Of course, that is merely a coincidence since you
will also notice that he is also the voter who ranked Xavier
highest (#8) for his one extreme vote. As noted above, Xavier fans vote
more than others.

POLLSPEAK'S
PICK: Bad Voter of Week 14 --
Tommy Deas, The Tuscaloosa News (posted
2/9/08)
Not only did Deas' week 14 ballot have the most extreme votes this week, in fact, his 11 votes on the extreme is a new Pollspeak record! This is more than we've ever seen in either past basketball ballots or football ballots. That's quite the accomplishment, and here is how it was done:
- Stanford -- #3, highest
- West Virginia -- #5, highest
- Baylor -- #8, lowest
- LSU -- #9, lowest
- California -- #13, lowest
- Texas A&M -- #14, highest
- Depaul -- #15, highest
- Auburn -- #20, highest
- George Washington -- Unranked, lowest
- Kansas State -- Unranked, lowest
- Oklahoma State -- Unranked, lowest
His notable near extremes:
- North Carolina -- #4, 1 lower
- Maryland #6 -- #6, 1 lower
- Vanderbilt -- #19, 1 higher

PEOPLE'S
PICK: Bad Voter of Week 14 -- NONE (posted 2/9/08)
Not enough people voted to pick a Bad Voter of Week 14. Pollspeak
requires at least 100 votes to count the results. Hopefully turnout will
pick up next week or we will drop our coverage of women's basketball.
Regardless, we WON'T drop women's basketball from Pollstalker...just our
coverage.
