POLLSPEAKPollspeak is a watchdog organization dedicated to keeping college sports polls (and computer-rankings) honest, or at least questioning those that seem to be flawed, uneducated or have an unreasonable bias. Why? Because polls affect teams' TV exposure, finances, recruiting and national championship hopes. Voters and pollsters should be held accountable.

Award DefinitionsThe following awards (some good, some dubious) are given to voters by Pollspeak on a weekly basis. Some might not be given currently, but if the have been given in the past, they are still listed here for reference:
Bad Voter of the WeekThe Bad Voter of the Week Award goes to the person with the most concerning ballot. It may be due to a few major concerns, multiple minor concerns, or a combination of the two. Results will be tracked and sent to the governing bodies of each poll at season's end. New polls come out each Sunday during football season and Monday during Basketball season. Please note that voting is a quick way to voice your approval or displeasure, but it is not the only measure used. Solid arguments made on the Forums can be even more valuable. PEOPLE'S PICK: Bad Voter of the WeekBad Voter of the Week as voted by Pollspeak's visitors. The People's Pick is the voter who the highest number of Net Bad Votes, which is Bad Votes minus Good Votes. POLLSPEAK'S PICK: Bad Voter of the WeekBad Voter of the Week as chosen by Pollspeak's editorial staff. Pollspeak's Pick relies heavily on Pollstalker analysis and never lets bias for or against specific teams or voters sway their choice. DIS-honorable MentionThe DIS-honorable Mention sometimes goes to a voter whose very concerning
ballot may have gotten lost in the shuffle. Maybe they don't have the name
or geographic recognition, or they didn't anger any large fan base, or they flew
under the radar for whatever other reason. Other times it is because they
won the un-popular vote, but their ballot just couldn't compete with the Bad
Voter of the Week.
In short, they are the runners up. If the Bad Voter of the Week can't
perform his duties, the DIS-honorable Mention takes over. Good Voter of the WeekThe Good Voter of the Week is given to voters who seemingly put a lot of consideration into their ballots and who have the least number of concerns. We praise people who are willing to give each week a fresh start, and who aren't following some unwritten rule that a team can only rise or drop a certain number of spots each week. Note this is not the BEST voter of the week, nor is their ballot meant to be perfect. There is always going to be somebody who can find fault with any ballot. However, The Good Voters of the Week demonstrate logical reasoning with their choices and are generally consistent with how they treat all teams. You can make your case for Good Voters of the Week on the Forums as well. The results will be posted here every Thursday evening (football) or Friday evening (basketball). Worst Voter of the YearThe Worst Voter of the Year is given to a single voter at the end of a given season. Typically this will be somebody who has been named Bad Voter of the Week or DIS-honorable Mention more than once...although that isn't a requirement. However, the main point is to highlight a voter who has demonstrated a pattern of concerning ballots over the course of a single season.
Worst Voter of the WeekThe Worst Voter of the Week Award was used during the 2007 football season, but was later replaced by "Bad Voter of the Week" in order to allow for more variety and to give greater weight to the readers' votes. The criteria was basically the same as Bad Voter of the Week.
